There are many different types of senior living and it may be difficult to know which one is right for you or your loved one. In our recent Senior Living LIVE broadcast, we talk through each different type of senior living and what they would look like for you or your loved one. Watch below or read through our transcript.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have in the comments, and we will be sure to answer them.

Would you like to be part of the conversation LIVE? Click here and we'll send you a special message in Facebook Messenger when we go live.

And, if you'd like to watch past episodes of our live broadcast, you can find them here.

Are you confused about all the different types of senior living options that are out there? Well, you’ve come to the right place.

Welcome to the all new Senior Living LIVE show, right here on Facebook. That’s what you’re watching right now. We’re live. And we’re ready to go!

Hi everybody, I’m Chris and I’m your host.

This is a live show that we created specifically to help seniors and their families find out more about senior living. We’re pulling back the curtain, so to speak, to answer your burning questions and give you the information you’re looking for.

Have I mentioned yet that we are live? That’s because we are! If you are joining us during the live stream, you’re really at an advantage.

You can use the comment box that’s right below this video to type in your questions during the show. I’ll see those here on my screen, and I’ll do my best to answer those and address them, right here, while we’re live.

But before you even do that, just say hi. I want to know that you’re here, and I’d love to say hello back to you. So just let me know that you are here and watching live, right below in the comments.

If you’re not joining us live and you want to next time, know that we go live each week right here on the Arbor Company’s facebook page. We do that Wednesdays at 6 p.m. eastern.

If you want to be reminded of when we go live with a new show, all you have to do is type the word “show” in the comment box right below this video. And we’ll send you a little message in Facebook Messenger to confirm. So just type “show” in the comments and click the send button.

Each Senior Living LIVE show focuses on a topic that should be of interest to you, based on the types of questions that we typically get from people.

And here we are, today, we are live. And we are talking about all the different types of senior living options that are out there. That’s a common question that we get. People want to know, where do I even start.

Now, I want to tell you: I have worked here at The Arbor Company for about 4 years. The Arbor Company is a fantastic operator of senior living communities.

Specifically, we work in independent living, assisted living, and memory care. But don't worry about what those are right now--we’re going to get into that in a second.

The Arbor Company has been doing this for 30 years. I cannot imagine a better group of people for me to learn about all of these different options from.

But 4 years ago when I started with The Arbor Company, I was not only new to the company, but I was new to the senior living industry … altogether.

And coming into this -- I can tell you, what you probably already know, it is confusing! Oh my goodness.

There are are lot of different types of senior living. And it kind of takes a second to navigate those waters, to sort-of figure things out, and determine what is the right solution for you.

But hopefully I will be able to break it down for you a little bit and give you some resources that should help to explain things a bit more.

So that is what we’re going to talk about today. Let me turn my attention down to the comments here and see who has joined us live.

Here’s what we’re going to be going through today. We have an infographic--which is just a fancy name for a chart--that we put on our website a while back. It does a great job of explaining all the different senior living options that are out there.

And so I thought I would go through that with you here. Sound good? If you’re watching, tell me in the comments that it sounds good to you!

OK. So I just showed you all the different types of senior living options that are available. And there are more, but these are the most common ones.

But now that you have some understanding of these, where do you go from here?

Well, we’ve produced a guide that you can download for free that goes into these steps for finding the right community for you.

It’s actually been a pretty popular download on our website. I’ve got a copy here that I printed out, but you can read it on the screen when you get it.

If you would like to get a free copy of this electronically, just type the word “show” in the comments below. And we’ll send you a message with a link to be able to download it and the infographic. Just type “show” in the comments.

We’ve covered a lot today.

If you have any questions that I didn’t answer for you, please leave those in the comments, and I’ll be sure to cover them in a future show.

Our next show is going to be next Wednesday, January 24th, at 6 p.m. eastern. If you want to be notified and get a reminder when we go live, just type “show” below in the comments and I’ll make sure you get that.

And if you saw anything today that you think someone else might find helpful, please share this video with them or mention their name in the comments so that they see it. We want to get this valuable information out so that we can help as many people as possible.

Well, that just about does it for me today. I will see you next Wednesday!

Bye bye.
